There are only two roads in
life - and each of us must choose which one we will travel.
One leads to God and everlasting life,
the other leads to destruction. |
None of us will be able to say
that we deserve eternal life because we were a good person. We cannot
earn, demand or buy our salvation in any way. There is only one way we can
be saved and live an eternal life of joy with God.
Contrary to popular
belief - there is only one way to God.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one
comes
to the Father, but through Me.'" (John 14:6).
And in none other is there salvation: for neither is
there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be
saved. (Acts 4:12)
Few will heed the call from
God.
"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad
that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter
through it." (Matthew
7:13)
God
calls - but we have to accept the free gift of eternal life that He offers.
"Strive to enter through the narrow door; for many, I tell you, will
seek to
enter and will not be able."
(Luke 13:24)
He who has
believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall
be condemned. (Mark 16:16)
We all deserve to die because
we have all sinned against God. But God has provided for us in that if we
wish to be saved from eternal condemnation all we have to do is accept the FREE
gift of eternal life from Him.
For the wages
of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our
Lord.
Romans
6:23
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this not
from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- 9 not by works, so that no-one can boast.
10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good
works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
(Ephesians 2:4-10)
There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are
in Christ Jesus. (Rom 8:1)
