Discipline is a mark of
character and God wants us to take on the character of Jesus.
Jesus was perfect and is the perfect example of how we should have
discipline in our lives. The Bible is God's instruction for man
and we should take time from our busy days to study and infuse God's
word in our lives that it might produce good works.
All
Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for
correction, for training in righteousness.
(II Timothy 3:16)
But
prove yourselves doers of the Word and not merely hearers who delude
themselves. (James 1:22)
God admonishes us very
clearly that we have the means to know right from wrong and He therefore
takes a very dim view of us not doing what is right in His sight.
Therefore, to one who
knows the right thing to do and does not do it, to him it is sin.
James
4:17
He who is faithful in
a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in
a very little thing is unrighteous also in much.
Luke
16:10
