Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him,  On those who hope for His lovingkindness,  Psalm 33:17-19

For in hope we have been saved, but hope that is seen is not hope; for who hopes for what he already sees?

For we through the Spirit, by faith, are waiting for the hope of righteousness.
Galatians 5:4-6

But if we hope for what we do not see, with perseverance we wait eagerly for it.
Romans 8:24-26

The hope that is talked about is not one in which we cross our fingers and simply want something but have no way of knowing if we will be given that something.  Our hope is the type of hope where we have not seen what we hope for but we know through God's word that He will provide and we eagerly await His provision.

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1-3
